We set up a development osCommerce website on our own private servers. We maintain a Subversion (SVN) repository, a Mantis Issue Tracker and a separate development installation for each website placed under this innovative website operations & maintenance service.
The subversion repository tracks each code change submitted during development and upgrade activities and posts a change log entry to an associated Mantis issue. These entries are used to automate the creation of a change log and road map for each site.
Detailed change logs and Subversion histories allow a programmer to quickly discover which files were changed and what exactly what changes were made - reducing errors and time to completion of each project.
The Mantis road map allows the site owner to quickly track progress towards completion of planned modifications or problem resolution. Progress can be verified by checking the functionality of the development installation.
Time work is tracked on a per issue basis, totaled and invoiced monthly without the risk of completely losing your investment in new code - because you always have access to the work in progress.
As your site operations managers, we work with you to communicate the nature of bugs and generate feature requests. We interview and hire the best programmer for the job at the best rate and monitor their work. You take care of your business and we take care of your online presence.
Your recurring investment is a mere $25/mo to maintain your dedicated service infrastructure (Issue Tracker, Development Site and Subversion (SVN) repository). Hourly rates will apply only for professional services actually rendered.
